Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the machining and fitting of precision parts and assemblies according to blueprints and written or verbal specifications with minimal supervision. Use of manual lathes, milling machines, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and other precision measuring equipment is a must. Working hands-on equipment in our Mobile, AL service facility is required.
Efficiently produce parts by setting up and operating machine shop equipment; Make fixtures and tooling as needed to complete jobs; Complete alignment and quality checks using basic measuring devices; Recommend design improvements and process changes; Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment; Responsible for machine maintenance.
Overtime may be required on short notice to meet customer deadlines.
Hiring Qualifications:
The qualified candidate must have minimum (10) years manual machining experience with lathes and milling machines in industrial rotating equipment service and repair. CNC experience is a plus, but not a requirement
Technical school graduate in related field or equivalent training; Experience in job shop work environment; Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions; Math and mechanical aptitude; Proficient in the use of standard machinist tools and measuring instruments; Familiar with working properties of metals; Basic writing and computer skills; Ability to lift 50 pounds

Air-conditioned pump repair shop in Mobile, AL with 8 – 10 close working team members. All tools provided.
