3393
Manufacturer: ITT Goulds
Goulds 3393 High Pressure, Multistage Ring Section Pumps. The Goulds Model 3393 is a radially split, segmented casing, multistage pump designed with modular interstage components. These identical components can be assembled to produce pumps of varying numbers of stages, hydraulics, materials, and configurations to meet the customer's specific requirements. Its multiple suction nozzle and discharge nozzle orientations allow the 3393 to adapt to multiple piping installations and provide the piping designer with flexibility in plant layout. Multiple hydraulics for each pump size optimize efficiency across a vast range of applications. All intermediate stage components are identical which reduces spare parts inventory. These pumps are particularly well suited for reverse osmosis and boiler feed applications. Shower services, booster service and other high pressure services are applications where the Model 3393 may be applied.
• Heads to 3300 feet (1000 m)
• Temperatures to 400° F (204°C)
• Pressures to 1650 psig (114 bar)
• Precision cast impellers
smooth surface finish for improved hydraulic efficiency
multiple hydraulic designs for best customer fit
optional wear rings available to restore "as built" clearances
variety of materials available for different services
• Continuous channel mulitvane diffuser and stage piece
eliminates one mating interface
provides additional rigidity for more reliable operation
simplifies maintenance procedures and reduces inventory requirements
smoothly directs the flow from stage to stage more efficiently
eliminates radial loads to assure longer bearing life
• Wear rings
allow restoration of "as built" clearances
protect more expensive parts from wear
casing rings are standard
impeller rings are an option
• Involute Balance Drum
provides axial thrust balance
insures rotor stability
prevents bearing failure from excessive thrust loading
small clearance minimizes leakage and improves efficiency
dual step surface protects against seizing or galling
accessible and removable from the discharge side of the pump
• Suction and discharge casings
provide flexibility for customer piping layout
radial and end suction configurations are available for the suction casing
discharge casing is dual volute type
radial suction casing and discharge casing can have nozzles positioned in 90O increments to allow customer flexibility in plant layout and equipment location.
• Bearing housings
housings on the radial suction pump are identical on both ends
Inpro VBXX DTM labyrinth seals protect bearings from contamination
made of high strength cast ductile iron and finned for additional cooling
cooling fan for additional thrust bearing cooling on the 5" and 6" sizes
bearing housings are configured to accept bearing temperature detectors and vibration instrumentation
• Bearings end suction (ES) configuration:
suction side bearing is product lubricated
asymmetric trailing edge rib supports eliminate an additional stage for bearing support
support rib trailing edge design provides smoother flow into the impeller
discharge side bearing is a heavy duty, oil lubricated anti friction bearing• Bearings radial suction (RS) configuration
same bearing housing and anti friction arrangement as used on the ES discharge side is used at both ends of the radial suction pump
anti friction bearings are oil lubricated
i ALERTTM
i ALERTTM condition monitor is standard
identifies unacceptable changes in vibration and temperature from an accepted operating baseline
provides an early visual alert of a potential problem
