The HDS pump comes in a variety of materials to tailor the pump to your specific application. For abrasive service the Vulcan Pumps HDS offers ASTM A532 Cl. III Type A high chrome iron liquid end castings. This is the hardest material for severe slurry applications and it offers mild corrosion resistance. For more applications with chemical or high chloride concerns is the ASTM A890 duplex and super duplex stainless steels (CD4, 2205, and 2507) as well as ASTM A494 high nickel alloys (C276, A20). Hardware, motor shafts, and other pump components can also be manufactured in these materials.
